Greg found it challenging growing up in a conservative household as a gay man. His whole life, he’s felt like he had to put up a façade and hide his true self to fit in with his family and friends. He’s so tired of pretending to be someone he’s not and hiding who he loves.

Lara is a 30-year-old bisexual woman who’s afraid of being discriminated against for her sexual preferences. She’s heard stories of LGBTQIA people being passed over for promotions or even fired for their sexuality. She doesn’t want to hide who she is but is afraid of the consequences of coming out.

Jonathan is a gay man who experiences extreme anxiety. Lately, he’s started having panic attacks, so he avoids anything that may trigger him. But in the process, his world keeps shrinking, and his relationship with his husband is becoming strained. He knows it’s a problem but doesn’t know how to fix it.

Janine is conflicted about the gender she feels most aligned with and agonizes over the decision. Sometimes, she feels closer to non-binary or transgender. She wonders how people will react when they find out. What about the legal and health ramifications? The anxiety and confusion are debilitating.

Something has to change.

Unless you try something different, you’ll keep falling deeper into anxiety and depression.

Things will continue deteriorating and becoming more hopeless with each passing day.

You’ll never live the life you deserve as long as you hide who you truly are.

There is another way.

It’s possible to learn tools to better cope with the
stress and isolation of your situation.

You can develop the confidence to stand up with pride
without worrying about how anyone else might react.

It’s time to start living as your honest and
authentic self. And therapy can help.

Hi, I’m Tynya (She/Her/Hers).

As a licensed therapist, I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients.

I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges this community faces and am committed to providing a safe and supportive place for you to grow.

Through our work, we’ll discover how past experiences affect your present circumstances and heal these unprocessed wounds so you can embrace a brighter future.

Together, we’ll work to explore the various facets of your identity so that you can begin to live your own truth.

You are not alone in this. Let me help you every step of the way on this healing journey

With Greg, we worked on his communication skills and did role play to practice coming out to his family. Over time, some of them accepted Greg as he is.

In working with Lara, we found examples of other LGBT people at her work and reviewed her thoughts and feelings regarding coming out. She decided to come out to a few people at a time.

When working with Jonathan, we used exposure therapy to decrease his panic attacks and then examined the anxious thoughts that caused them. We worked on his communication skills to improve his communication with his husband.

During her therapy, Janine began to explore the different ideas she has about gender and her gender expression. She eventually decided to express herself as non-binary. We then set about getting themselves comfortable in their new gender expression.

Embrace the real you.

I helped the people above find their truths and start living as their authentic selves. And I can do the same for you.

You deserve so much more from life.
